New Designers was a wonderful opportunity and very memorable experience.
Here are a few photos I took of my work on the BIAD stand and a short statement explaining my concept.
‘Experiences through life define us as a person,
Memories shared bond people together,
When all we know and who we know crumbles away, what are we left with?’The collection is a documentation of a personal reaction to a family member’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, portraying the continual loss of data, personality changes, memory loss, aggression and confusion.
It is a recording of the continual and incremental deterioration; a series of work aiming to capture the passing of time, change, growth and decay. This work also explores the idea of preserving and displaying a memory forever. Using a diverse use of materials and processes, that thoughtfully communicate the concept of Broken Memories.
Enjoy x
